Came in around 1030 on a Wednesday and they had no cars in the shop. Took over 30 minutes for an oil change. Friendly, knowledgeable, and a good price though.
I got my oil changed today and everyone was very nice. My vehicle was in and out in a timely manner. I wasn't pressured to buy things I didn't need. They are having a good drive right now and two cans if food will get you $5 off any service. A guy came in and he was traveling from Chicago to Nashville, his car had broken down. They got him in right after me. They told him about local restaurants and when he picked one they arranged a ride to and from.
Midas attitude adjusted quote from $89 (verbal) to $398 (written) for the same work order (after I wanted to get a second opinion on a major repair they stated was a must have to even leave the lot)

Owner "guaranteed" that I wouldn't make it out of town without a huge repair. Became condescending and disrespectful when I stated I needed to see the parts as well as send pictures to my mechanic to get a quick opinion, and if needed, get them done while there. The Owner said the parts were "within a few miles of failing, based on personal experience and knowing more about the dangers" than us.
Filed complaints with BBB, corporate, as well as the State of Illinois Attorney General in regards to this establishments extremely questionable sales methods regarding unnecessary repairs, and inflating prices, apparently based on not purchasing said repairs without verifying they were needed.
Had component examined by multiple other mechanics while getting the vehicle serviced who stated there was absolutely no need to replace the parts, and that the parts appeared to be newer (I had just purchased the vehicle a week before).
Shop 1.7 miles down the road- $60.05 and had no issue with me inspecting the part and getting pictures to verify the part was still in near new condition.
